The Filante SLR is an extremely lightweight aero bike, significantly improving the stiffness-to-weight ratio. We used the same materials and technology used in the construction of the Wilier 0 SLR.

The result is a top-of-the-line, aerodynamic frameset that complements our pure climbing bike now used by Astana Premier Tech and Total Direct Energie.

AERODYNAMICS
The Filante SLR was designed to maximize aerodynamic performance in real-world conditions. The study was based on data collected in the wind tunnel (where the wind is very clean, resulting in consistent empirical results), while also taking real-world conditions into consideration. Thus, we not only evaluate typical wind tunnel data (yaw angles from -20° to +20°) but also consider ambient turbulence that can interfere with the bike for a variety of reasons.
For this reason, we redesigned the profiles, starting from the NACA / KAMM standard but no longer with sharply cut edges at the rear. The resulting softened corners allow for better performance even when the airflow is disturbed.
The inside of the front fork has been widened by 7mm, making it 13.6% wider than the Cento10PRO fork. This has moved the fork blades further away from the wheel, reducing turbulence and improving aerodynamics.

VERY LIGHT AND RESPONSIVE
The new aerodynamically optimized profiles have allowed us to further reduce weight in the frame's construction. The shape without sharp edges requires less material and less resin in the corners. This results in a more homogeneous interior and allows the frame to weigh just 870 grams.
The bike assembled with top-of-the-range specifications weighs 6.8 KG.
The carbon used to build the Filante monocoque is the same as the Wilier 0 SLR. Thanks to the different types of carbon used together with the Liquid Crystal Polymer, the specific positioning of the fibers and the construction technology, we have managed to achieve an absolute level of lightness and rigidity.
The lower overall weight in relation to the extremely high torsional rigidity has increased the STW by 12.5%. This improvement is clearly noticeable in the steering precision and the feeling of safety you get at high speeds.

240 FITTINGS AVAILABLE
With the fork steerer no longer beveled, we can install up to 35mm of spacers below the handlebar. By combining frame, handlebar, and spacer measurements, we can achieve 240 different fits, with no overlap between one combination and another. This figure doubles when considering the two available seatposts, with 15mm or 0mm setback.

INTEGRATED HANDLEBAR AND CABLES
In addition to its low weight (350 grams for the 101x42 size), the new integrated Filante Bar monocoque carbon handlebar houses the brake and control cables, routing them internally within the frame. It has a minimalist design, with sinuous and rounded lines to ensure maximum ergonomics in the grip.

EASY-FIT SPACERS
The spacers between the frame's head tube and the handlebars are made of high-rigidity composite material, with a special cavity for cable routing. They consist of two parts for quick assembly and disassembly, without interfering with the cables running between the handlebars and the frame.

BALANCED DESIGN
Six sizes, one feel. The tube cross-sections of the various sizes are designed so that stiffness, ride quality, and comfort are consistent across all frame sizes.


SPEED RELEASE THRU PINS
These pins allow for quick wheel removal from the frame without having to completely remove the axle from the wheel hub. This solution significantly reduces wheel removal and installation times. During a race, a wheel change saves an average of 7 seconds compared to a traditional thru-axle.
