Our young and enthusiastic research and development team lives, breathes, and rides bicycles—all day long. Creating a bicycle is a true team effort, with each member contributing their expertise to bring the project to fruition. From conceptual planning to the first prototypes and tests, to the integration of color and graphics into the overall design, from perfecting pre-production models to the final bike arriving at your local MERIDA dealer's workshop.

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

Testing is fundamental to our goal. We do everything we can to provide our customers with the most sophisticated and safe product possible. Our in-house testing facilities push our products beyond industry standards and allow us to develop products that deliver safe and reliable performance throughout their entire lifespan. In addition to meeting and exceeding industry standards, our bikes are tested to even higher standards at an industry-leading third-party laboratory in Germany. This means we can guarantee that our bikes can handle anything, even the most challenging trails, the steepest climbs, the heaviest loads, and, of course, everyday use.

HANDMADE IN TAIWAN FOR 50 YEARS

WE'VE BEEN BUILDING BICYCLES SINCE 1972

For over 50 years, we've been handcrafting our bicycles in our Taiwan factory. The strong connection between our highly skilled research and development team, based in one of Germany's design and product development hotspots, and our highly experienced engineers, production, and assembly teams at our headquarters in Yuanlin, allows us to control the entire production process, from initial design to finished product. This unique location, combined with our constant commitment to product improvement, allows us to produce some of the most sophisticated bicycles in the world.
