MAVIC COSMIC SLR 45 DISC WHEELSET

This all-new carbon wheelset is a great choice for road cyclists who want to be fast and efficient in all riding and racing conditions. Not only does the 45mm aerodynamic rim slice through the wind with minimal drag, it's also among the lightest in its class. This season, the carbon outer layer features our new UD² construction for a distinctive look and a lighter rim laminate, saving an additional 15g per rim.

A new rim laminate paired with our exclusive Fore Carbon technology leaves the upper rim bridge intact and reinforces the rim only where needed, saving 40g per rim. The spokes are secured to the rim without drilling the upper rim cup, eliminating the need for rim tape. This results in a greater weight saving (30g) and fewer complications when mounting or repairing tubeless tires. The new rim cup shape also makes mounting and removing them easier than ever. UST Tubeless setup means no inner tube, no friction, and more air volume for a smoother ride. The result is a faster ride with ultra-low rolling resistance. Finally, our patented elliptical spokes save another 5 watts.

Our new Infinity hubs optimize spoke lacing for efficient power transfer through highly controlled spoke tension. The Instant Drive 360 ​​freehub combined with automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) provides quick engagement, high rigidity, and increased strength. It is available for Shimano and SRAM XD-Road drivetrains and can be adapted to the Campagnolo system with an optional drivetrain body. It is compatible with a 12 x 100 front axle and a 12 x 142 rear axle, and can be converted to quick release with the supplied adapters. For Center Lock disc rotors only.
These wheels are designed, engineered and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France, and are 100% handcrafted in our European carbon factory.
